Shame on you Matco Tools for taking advantage of people who have no choice. I'd sooner eat fecesout of a horses rectal cavity. I would never recommend a box, tool, or anything to anyone from you guys EVER again simply based on principle. I was a lifelong Matco customer before this, I swore by your brand. All over a couple hundred bucks worth of fees they didn't feel like paying OVER THEIR OWN MISTAKE. Now I can't find work because of this and they are forcing me to take legal action. THEY REPOSSESSED MY BOX FOR LITERALLY NO REASON, CAN'T EVEN TELL ME WHY THE REPOSSESSED IT, AND THEN EXPECT ME TO PAY THESE FEES. Matco is now refusing to cover the cost of any storage and delivery fees and the key cut charge. He isn't pleasant about it and I have had issues with Paul in the past, like when he tried to extort sales out of me in exchange for warrantying one of my Matco tools WHICH IS A FREE SERVICE. Call the local distributor/franchisee Paul, who claims I now have to pay a $40 dollar key cutting charge plus delivery and storage. They say "Oh yeah, not sure why your box would have been repossessed you are up to date and current on all payments." I said, "Yes, I know." So they tell me they can release my box to me. I figured, surely this is a mistake, I have been up to date and current on my payments for quite some time now, this has to be just some mix up. Soon after Matco repossesses my box and tools. ![]() Recently I lost my job due to COVID related layoffs. I have a box and tools financed through Matco. I would give them a zero star if I could. After my payment today, I owe them $40.50 & that will be the last I do business with this company. My balance before my payment was $110.50. Matco tools arbitrarily reported me for missing a payment for May, even tho they processed my payment on 5/31. He was completely unprofessional & disrespectful. I made the payment on 5/31 & yet Chance refused to let me talk to anyone else to try to resolve the situation. They reported me to the credit bureau for no payment in the month, but they send the report out before the month is over. I tried explaining this to Chance but he was only interested in telling me that I was wrong. ![]() Chance told me that Matco has been calling me to inform me the status of my account is behind, but I have not received any calls. ![]() I spoke with Chance in customer service & he was very rude, kept talking over me & did not want to assist me with the issue. Today I was advised that I was behind & it was negatively affecting my credit. I have a credit account with Matco & have never missed a payment. So I have been using the same rep for almost 3 yrs about a year ago I switched to making my payment once a month instead of every week in December my wife and I were informed she would need to have back surgery asap so she did 3 days of Christmas 2022 I told my rep that she would be out of work and since it wasn't job related she would not be getting paid while out I told him my payments for a couple of months would be irregular and whenever I could make them about 3 weeks ago 2/23 I made a payment and told him I would try my best to make another payment the next week but wasn't promising I owed a total of $358 after spending thousands last Fri around 4ish I was under the dash of a Porsche working when my phone rang I didn't atop working to answer it immediately rang again when I didn't answer the second time my Facebook messanger started ringing back to back I still didn't answer bc I was working then I start getting text so I thought it may have been my wife trying to gwt in touch with me bc of something being wrong nope it was sales rep I looked at messages and proceeded to call me thief a liar and piece of crap bc I wouldn't answer my phone right then and there and made a few other threats to me he also ran my debit a few times in the past without my permission and he acts like his family is more important or better than anyone else's needless to say I went off when he came by the shop the next Monday and gave him my piece of crap 3/8 battery ratchet back and told him to kick rocks I have spent thousands of dollars with matco over the last 20 yrs but I won't ever again if this is is how they allow their reps to treat people
